Do you want to prevent your mailings from ending up in the spam folder? With email authentication, you ensure that emails sent via aanmelder.nl on behalf of your domain are reliably delivered to your participants.
Email authentication helps distinguish spam from legitimate email. As a result, authenticated emails are more reliably delivered to your participants. You can authorize aanmelder.nl to send authenticated emails on behalf of your domain by delegating a subdomain to aanmelder.nl.
Aanmelder.nl supports DKIM and DMARC email authentication, and this has no effect on your existing email traffic.
Note: Only users with the owner role can view these settings.
Activating Email Authentication
Already have a domain or subdomain (e.g., events.mycompany.nl)? You can link it to your aanmelder.nl event.
Note: This will replace any existing website on that domain. Already have a live website? Then use the embedding method described below.
- Go to your event dashboard and navigate to General settings > Event web address
- Click ‘Domain information'
- Then select ‘You can also use an existing (sub)domain that you own’
- Check if your domain name can be used for your aanmelder event. Enter the full domain name, such as website.com or aanmelder.nl.
- If the domain is available, go to the Mailings section. There you’ll find instructions on how to update your DNS records.
- All settings are correctly configured when all green checkmarks are visible and there are no red crosses.
Tip
Not sure how to update DNS records? No problem. Under the ‘Network administrator’ section, you can easily forward all necessary information to an external colleague or IT expert. That person doesn’t need an aanmelder.nl account to view the required DNS changes.
Tip
Don't have a domain name yet? You can also purchase one through aanmelder.nl.
We’ll handle the technical setup for you—easy and hassle-free!
