How should I arrange the registration counter?

aanmelder.nl takes care of the tablets and printers. In this article you can find what you as Event Manager are responsible for.

Necesseties to use the printers

The printers need power to work. Make sure that there is an outlet next to every table where you want to place a printer (or extention cord).

Moreover you need people to operate the tablets and printers. aanmelder.nl does not supply hosts! You have to arrange them yourself.

If you make use of butterfly badges make sure all the hosts have easy access to a trashcan. The badges are printed on a sticker sheet which leads to trash from every sticker printed. You can place a trashcan between every two printers i.e.

The ideal registration counter

High or low tables?

For hosts it is often times nice to work at a high table or counter. In that case they don't have to bend down everytime a badge is printed. The most important thing is that the table or counter is very solid as the printers is quite heavy. We therefore do not advise the use of folding tables.

Dimensions of the counter

The ideal dimensions of the counter depends on the type of badge you're using. Small and large badges use a paperroll which is placed directly inside the printers. Butterfly badges are printed onto sticker sheets which are placed behind the printer. For the small/large badges you need at least 32 x 32 cm per printers, for the butterfly badges you need at least 32 x 55 cm per printers. Please note that you still need space for clips and badge holders (small/large badges) or lanyards (butterfly badges).

Location of the registration counter

Place your registration counter in a way that a participant arriving at the location immediately sees where they can check-in. Keep some distance to the entrance so that a possible queue does not have to be outside.
