If you'd like to read in participant data or additional information for your event, you can easily provide a data file. This article explains how the reading-in process works, and what information is required.
What Is a Reading-In File?
A reading-in file contains participant data. You provide the file, which includes essential information for your event. Once we receive it, we process the data in our system to ensure participants are registered promptly.
The file typically includes several columns with basic information such as:
-
Participant’s name
-
Email address
-
Organization
-
Other relevant details
You can customize the file by adding extra columns specific to your event. For example, if participants are registering for different workshop sessions, you can include a column indicating each participant’s selected session.
The Reading-In Process
After preparing your file, you can easily upload it in your aanmelder dashboard. We will read the file into our system, allowing the data to be processed automatically and accurately.
Please make sure the file includes all required and correct information. Incomplete or incorrect data may cause delays or misunderstandings during the event. We therefore recommend thoroughly checking the file to ensure all necessary fields are correctly filled in and up to date before submitting.
Adding Extra Columns
In addition to basic details, you can add extra columns to further customize the file. This helps us process specific information that may be important for your event. Examples include:
-
Workshop Sessions: If participants can register for different sessions, you can include their choices in an additional column.
-
Table Numbers: If participants are assigned to specific tables for a dinner or another event, this information can be added and processed accordingly.
By including this extra data, we can ensure all registrations are complete and that check-in and event logistics run smoothly.
